The Dalhousie Tigers ended a disappointing CIS Final 8 with an 11 point loss to the QSSF Champion Concordia Stingers. Despite an early 5-0 lead the Tigers never really got on track and had trouble dealing with the pesky Stinger defenders committing 13 first half turnovers and 19 in total. To give the Dal boys credit, a solid third quarter got the Tigers to within 7, and backed by a noisy cheering section of current students and alumni they played hard until the final buzzer.
The lone bright spot was Simon Farine who scored 30 points and added 6 rebounds. The lack of support on offensive was obvious as no other Tiger scored more than 6. Josh Beattie who sank StFX in the AUS Final with 4 straight 3 pointers scored 6 points on 3 for 9 shooting in 18 minutes of court time. 5th year player Germaine Bendegue went 1 for 5 with 6 rebounds in 36 minutes of play.
With the loss Dalhousie drops to 0-4 in CIS Final competition all-time.
